Dance Force teaches dance classes and camps at 14 locations throughout the Bay area. Kathy Welch, owner/director of Dance Force, directs the dance programs for several cities, community centers, private schools, and public schools.

Kathy Welch has been dancing all her life. She has taught jazz, hip hop, tiny tots, parent participation classes, combo classes, competitive dance and cheerleading teams.

Kathy is a former San Francisco 49er Cheerleader and San Jose Saber Cat Arena Football Cheerleader. She danced for San Jose’s first Professional Roller Hockey team, The Rhinos, and San Jose’s first indoor soccer team, The Grizzlies. She has been a backup dancer for Carlos Santana, Huey Lewis and the News, The United States Mayor’s Ball, Joe Montana’s Retirement Ceremony, the Make a Wish Foundation, and the World Cup of Soccer. Kathy also created a dance scholarship program that benefits many kids in the bay area.




Summer Dance Camp programs

  • Tiny Tots Princess Dance Camp (Ages 2-3)
    Magic Wands, Teddy Bears, and Tutus! Your tiny tot will love this princess dance camp where they will dance to fun princess music, do arts and craft projects, play princess games, and get a princess skirt and tiara. They will use many fun props throughout the camp. All children will receive a Dance Force T-Shirt. They will also perform on the last day of camp, in class, during the last five minutes.photo
  • Princess Dance Camp (Ages 3-5)
    Twirling Tutus and Tiaras! In this very popular and magical “Princess” inspired camp, your child will dance to fun princess music, do arts and craft projects, play princess games, and get a princess skirt and tiara. Please bring a snack and water bottle. All children will receive a Dance Force T-Shirt. They will also perform on the last day of camp, in class, during the last five minutes.
  • Pirate Dance Camp (Ages 3-6)
    Yo Ho, Yo Ho a Pirates life for me! Come join this fun pirate inspired camp. Get your sea legs ready as we play pirate games, learn dance moves to pirate music, make crafts, sing songs, learn pirate lingo, and get pirate gear! All children will receive a Dance Force T-Shirt. They will also perform on the last day of camp, in class, during the last five minutes.photo
  • Cheerleading Dance Camp (Ages 4-6 and 7-10)
    GO! FIGHT! WIN! Your child will learn basic cheerleading motions, cheers, chants, jumps, technique, and get pom-poms. They will learn a “song leader” routine, learning basic jazz/ hip-hop moves to fun music. Students need to bring a water bottle and snack. All children will receive a Dance Force T-Shirt. They will also perform on the last day of camp, in class, during the last five minutes.
  • Animal Boogie Dance Camp (Ages 3-6)
    Bounce, Jump, & Spin! Your child will love this animal themed camp! They will learn basic hip hop type moves like, “Raise the Roof”, “Penguins Down”, “The Double Bounce”, & more! While dancing to fun kid’s music, they will build confidence, coordination, & rhythm. Movement games, using their imagination, and making arts and crafts will all be included! All children will receive a Dance Force T-Shirt. They will also perform on the last day of camp, in class, during the last five minutes.
  • Super Star Dance Camp! (Ages 6-9)
    It’s time to Shine! Come be a Super Star and learn hot new dance moves likes the one’s you see in High School Musical. Children will learn hip hop & jazz moves and dance instructors will help them create their “own” choreography! To make things more glamorous, we will use fun props that the children will get to take home. Students need to bring a water bottle and snack. All children will receive a Dance Force T-Shirt. They will also perform on the last day of camp, in class, during the last five minutes.
  • Summer Adventures Dance Camp! (Ages 4-7)
    This camp has it all! Children will learn fun dances which will include: kid’s hip hop, jazz, and creative dance. With different theme’s like, animal adventures, rock and roll, and pirate fun! Children will make arts and craft projects, play movement games, sing songs, and more! Children need to bring a bag lunch and water bottle each day. All children will receive a Dance Force T-Shirt. They will also perform on the last day of camp, in class, during the last five minutes.
